They’ve built a crooked system from top to bottom—and it’s all designed to keep you quiet, working, and paying dues while they make backroom deals and cling to power.
This is not the first UFT election I’ve run in and I can tell you first hand how Unity rigged the system. You know. I think it’s worthy of my own post…. Stay tuned!!
I was a union member, delegate, and chapter chair. I joined in 1963 and retired in 1985.. Since those now in power stabbed Charles Cogen in the back they have been corrupt, only seeking to stay in power at the cost of selling out the members. Its been a long time.
ARISE has a deeper field, is currently inside our (barricaded—by Unity) retirees offices. ABC, apparently, has a lock on public relations, takes time to cultivate Marianne P., who is a genuine Union hero. We all owe her an enormous debt, unpaid and unpayable. But she is neglected by ARISE. Mystery there.
Points are very well put, deeply intelligent. Perhaps ABC might have the humility to save our Union by genuinely offering up their differences, and compromises by either or both caucuses, in order to win.
Why not have a debate of the candidates running for the Executive Board? It could be on Zoom so that the membership could see and hear the candidates.
That’s democracy which is a core part of the UFT’s constitution

Don’t hold back! Out them all.

This anonymous post is a disgrace. Amy and Problematic Paul putting their personal grudges before the union.
Pffffffffffff
