This campaign wasn’t just about a ballot, it was about building a movement. One school, one chapter, one conversation at a time, we’ve begun to reclaim our union. Thank you for standing with us.
Arthur, first and foremost I’d like to express my gratitude to you for always being a voice of courage and truth. While I was in service I honestly did not pay much attention to union matters. Once retired, I read your columns frequently, and that’s how I understood the mismanagement of the UFT by Mulgrew and Unity. I cast my vote for ABC, and I hope that we are successful- that the union starts to serve the membership, not the other way around. Whatever the outcome, it was time that Unity gets a wake-up call. Hats off to you and the rest of the ABC leadership who worked so hard in this election. Let’s be very hopeful for a positive result.
Whatever the outcome, you have inspired many that unions are under attack by radical junky misfits that are not qualified to prepare a cup of coffee, let alone run a large union. Thank you for teaching us all a valuable lesson about protecting the store from the looters.
I am concerned about the voting process and exactly how the vote count is obtained. I have not seen or read any information about this. Do any of you know about this or have any information?
They were unity members prior. Some removed from office, others not given the position that they wanted so they jumped ship for revenge and didn’t care if they took down the entire union with their lies and propaganda. They should be ashamed of how they behaved. The children we teach have more maturity. They named called, blocked posts on a page that should be a place for all teachers to go with questions and for support, they lied, aligned them selves with Maryanne……..and now it wasn’t about winning an election…..so we were right all along. It was about revenge!

I agree 100%. ABC's entire campaign was based on revenge, fear mongering, and lies. If they win, it will be the end of the UFT as we know it.
thank you for your feedback.

Why was there not a unity against the unity caucus ? Why didn't ABC join unity for a change to avoid splitting against the unity caucus??
