Join us for these virtual and in-person events. Be sure to register for our Elementary Zoom Call on 2/4 and our UFT Member Assembly on 2/11 to meet our slate candidates. On 2/12 petitioning begins!
With 2025 kicking into high gear, it’s time to get back to it! Our union proud, union strong, grassroots movement of working educators and retirees continues to grow and capture the imagination and heart of our beloved union. Here some important upcoming events:
1. Join Our Elementary School Organizing Zoom Call - Tue, Feb 3 at 7 PM
You’re invited to our Elementary School Organizing Zoom Call to join us in the fight for A BETTER CONTRACT. It will take place on Tuesday, February 4 at 7 PM, via Zoom.

We will discuss the critical issues in elementary schools today, including working conditions such as micromanagement, over-testing, the freedom to teach, scripted curriculum, being paid for our time and more!

Register and meet our ABC candidates at our UFT Member Assembly - Tue, February 11, at 7 PM
This is a can’t miss event. You will have an opportunity to meet many of the every day UFTters who will be running of the A Better Contract (ABC) slate in the upcoming spring 2025 UFT elections. This will be a ground-breaking event so tell everyone to join this Zoom call!
Register now for our “Meet The Candidates” UFT Member Assembly on Tuesday, February 11, at 7 PM!
Petition launch on Wednesday, February 12, in the evening, at the Delegate Assembly (52 Broadway) … and then petition signings at 66 Broadway!
In order for our slate candidates to be placed on the 2025 UFT election ballot, we will need hundreds of signatures from UFT members at our school and work sites. All hands on deck!
As an ABC candidate or supporter, you can pick up hard copies of nomination petitions outside of the UFT Delegate Assembly at 52 Broadway on Wednesday, February 12, from 3:30 pm to 6 pm.
After the Delegate Assembly, we will meet for our petition signing launch at the Whole Foods cafeteria, located at 66 Broadway, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
If you cannot attend, we will send out instructions to download and print digital copies of the nomination petition forms.
