I attempted to join the Retiree Town Hall on the Mayor's Race. I was late and it had already ended 35 minutes after its supposed start. Also why was Mulrgrew holding it rather that the head of the Retiree Chapter?

Everyone MUST stop contributing to COPE.

I stopped contributing years ago!

You are so right! My COPE payments went to my opponent! I am still a teacher. The UFT is my union but I guess the president of the UFT made the decision to endorse my opponent. No more COPE contributions coming from me, Danielle H. Guggenheim.

“I get why so many are pulling their COPE contributions,” says Dan Alicea to the NY Post.

The bitterness of the defeated A Better Contract slate knows no end. Daniel Alicea feeds the post a quote for their extremely divisive and misleading article. Just pouring fuel on the fire while the world burns.

Whose side are these guys on? Answer - themselves

In 1948 the population of Gaza was at most 80,000. In 2025 the population of Gaza is 2.1 million.

The definition of “genocide” is the deliberate killing of a group with the aim of eliminating that group.

The population of Gaza has grown by over 2 million.

By definition that is not “genocide”!

Over the years I have learned to never listen to any recommendation that the UFT has put forth regarding any political candidate. I stopped contributing to COPE years ago. I fully became wise to the corruption under Mulgrew's administration and refuse to be a participant. If he tells me to vote for a candidate, then I have to question how much money was handed under the table for that endorsement. You will not tell me who to vote for.

What is the ABC movement doing to support Mamdani? Setting aside concerns about process how do we come together and make sure he wins! What is ABC doing?

I will be pulling my COPE payments! I also did not get any survey! I want to know how we can stop this endorsement! I don't support it and it does not reflect my values. I know I am not alone in this! Can anything be done?

I will never vote for Mamdani and will not support the UFT in anything to do with this election at all. The Town Hall meeting yesterday was a sham since Mulgrew had already made his decision. Mamdani will ruin this city with his socialist/communist views and beliefs. My Cope stops now!

For my money the union leadership would do well relocating east of Poland. I've thought that for decades.

Like the DNC, which controls the UFT, the present leadership is desperate to find anyone other than Zohran Mamdani, due his vocal opposition to Israel's genocidal war in Gaza. Nothing else matters to either of them.

Agreed; Mulgrew needs to step down because he’s looking out for himself and not the members. If theirs a clause to do a re-call, please execute it and get him out; he’s of no use to in-service members or to retirees. Blessings
