I believe, ABC, that you just won my vote. You demonstrated at last that you are *serious*. More than even "pocketbook" issues, ethics (and the lack of same ) should be at the heart of the campaign. So, what should I do? (Besides vote, that is.)

And by the way, the ABC caucus agreed to this protocol at the election committee.

Just curious...how does filing this hold up in a court of law when the PRESIDENT of our Union has his name misspelled? Who exactly are you suing, now? Who paid for this lawsuit?

Don’t Let the Lies Distract You.

Let’s clear the air.

Every single UFT member is receiving a mail-in ballot. That’s the plan—and it always has been. Unity has given members more choice, not less, by offering optional in-person voting for those who prefer to cast their ballot face-to-face. That’s not manipulation. That’s called access.

Here’s how it works:

If you only vote by mail, that ballot counts.

The in-person vote overrides the mail-in ballot if you also vote in person.

This isn’t a loophole. It’s a long-standing, transparent policy that protects the integrity of the election by counting your most recent vote, just like every secure voting system does.

Concerned about accessibility?

Know the facts:

• A trained, neutral GES representative—not a Unity staffer—is present to assist voters who need help.

• Voters can have a caregiver or trusted companion accompany them.

• Accessible voting booths are set up to ensure dignity and privacy for members using wheelchairs or needing other accommodations.

This is real accessibility—not buzzwords or performative outrage.

And let’s talk about those in-person “event” sites.

They’re not secret schemes. They’re union gatherings. We vote, we eat, we connect. That’s what unions do—we show up for each other. Turning that into a scandal is a distraction from the real issue: some folks don’t like high turnout when they’re not leading it.

And the lawsuit?

It’s not about protecting democracy—it’s about undermining it. It’s a headline-chasing tactic meant to create distrust, not solutions. While others file lawsuits, Unity is out there organizing, protecting your rights, and giving you every opportunity to make your voice heard.

So vote once, fairly, and however works best for you.

Mail it in. Show up in person. Just know your vote is protected, counted, and secure.

Vote Unity—because Unity never stopped fighting for you.

Shame on you Amy!
